Children and young people

Children and young people programs and initiatives can create opportunities to build awareness, understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture. By embedding reconciliation initiatives into strategic planning and community programs, Local Governments can contribute to a shared vision of reconciliation and empower the next generation to champion inclusivity and connection. These initiatives can provide pathways for young people to grow through sport, education, and cultural engagement.

Play with purpose

Local Government can incorporate reconciliation actions into existing children and youth programming such as after-school or holiday programs, outdoor learning experiences, arts and culture projects, mentorship an internship programs and digital learning resources.

Lotterywest Community Framework Investment and Grants can support with funding for programs or activities.
