Reconciliation is about building a better nation. A more just and united Australia that respects and celebrates more than 65,000 years of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, stories, and achievements.
An Australia that believes in the rights of First Nations peoples to make their own decisions about their own lives and communities.

 

As the peak body for Reconciliation in the state, Reconciliation WA continues to empower and advocate for change and for unity and understanding.  The work they do and the conversations they have, are enabled by your engagement. 

Membership will provide you with a range of workshops and events to support your reconciliation commitments and actions.  It also provides networking opportunities for you to connect and engage with other like-minded organisations, and a way to celebrate your successes, share your challenges and discover new ways of doing great work within your communities.

Town of Port Hedland

In South Hedland, a Youth Changemaking Program has empowered local Aboriginal youth to make a difference in their community while enhancing their sense of belonging and pride.

Reconciliation WA

Kolbang Yanginy artwork was a collaborative partnership between the Artists, Purple and Reconciliation WA.

City of Swan

The Place Names Maali project and a new interactive online mapping tool are being led by Landgate in collaboration with the City of Swan.

Town of Cambridge

In July 2024, community feedback led the Town of Cambridge to commit to renaming Lake Monger to Galup over a five-year transition period.
